I don’t care if this is true, it’s that good. It comes via Facebook apparently.

ONLY A MAN WOULD ATTEMPT THIS

Last weekend I saw something at Larry’s Pistol & Pawn Shop that sparked my interest. The occasion was our 15th anniversary and I was looking for a little something extra for my wife Julie.. What I came across was a 100,000-volt, pocket/purse- sized tazer. The effects of the tazer were supposed to be short lived, with no long-term adverse affect on your assailant, allowing her adequate time to retreat to safety…..?? (more…)

We are enjoying a beautiful weekend with our friends Dawn and Chris in the mountains. The snow level is a bit low for early March, but today it started coming down hard. I’m getting ready for some more runs.

The first pictures are of us with my mom and Sam at the Minturn Country Club (odd name as it isn’t next to a golf course and isn’t fancy at all). You cook your own food on open grilles! It’s a lot of fun, and the meat is amazing.

Back to the slopes…

This weekend Shannon and I are enjoying an incredible weened at the St Julien Hotel and Spa. I have been sleepwalking between meals, massages, and walks in the city. A much needed respite after an especially stressful couple of months.

Here are some pics of the beautiful Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse. It was constructed in Dushanbe Tajikistan, shipped to Boulder, and reassembled.

The last picture is their incredible “Boulder Tangerine” tea, a rich spicy tea with a dash of sweetness mixed forthrm by Celestial Seasonings

While we were gone, our friend Betsy stayed in our house to keep the
puppies company. Micah, my good friend is her boyfriend, and is also a
renowned squirrel warrior. That is a good thing, as this pictures show.

I have been thinking this for a long time, Colin put it much better than I could
“I’m also troubled by, not what Senator McCain says, but what members of the party say, and it is permitted to be said. Such things as ‘Well you know that Mr. Obama is a Muslim.’ Well the correct answer is ‘He is not a Muslim, he’s a Christian, he’s always been a Christian.’ But the really right answer is ‘What if he is? Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country?’ The answer is ‘No. That’s not America.’ Is there something wrong with some 7-year old Muslim-American kid believing that he or she can be president? Yet I have heard senior members of my own party drop the suggestion he’s a Muslim and he might be associated with terrorists. This is not the way we should be doing it in America.
“I feel strongly about this particular point because of a picture I saw in a magazine. It was a photo-essay about troops who were serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. And one picture at the tail end of this photo essay was of a mother in Arlington Cemetery and she had her head on the headstone of her son’s grave. And as the picture focused in you can see the writing on the headstone. And it gave his awards, Purple Heart, Bronze Star, showed that he died in Iraq, gave his date of birth, date of death. He was 20 years old. And then at the very top of the headstone, it didn’t have a Christian cross, it didn’t have a Star of David. It had a crescent and a star of the Islamic faith. And his name was Karim Rashad Sultan Khan. And he was an American, he was born in New Jersey, he was 14 at the time of 9/11 and he waited until he can go serve his counrty and he gave his life.”
Thank you Karim for your sacrifice

We got interviewed by a journalist, a tv station, and random people

Oh yeah…and there was some incredible beers!
